Mary Elizabeth Garnett Henry

Mary Elizabeth Garnett Henry ofthe Cordova, Kentucky, communitywas born January 17, 1933 in Florence, Kentucky. She passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2009, in Edgewood, Kentucky, at the age of 76 years.

Mary was the daughter of the late Leslie Thomas and Mary Magdalene Shears Garnett. On March 25, 1950, Mary was united in marriage to Buford "Boots" Glenn Henry, whopreceded her in death on April 18, 1999. Mary was a homemaker, and a member of the Marcus Crooked Creek Baptist Church, in the Cordova community.

In addition to her husband, and parents, Mary was also preceded in death by 1son, Lonnie Ray Henry,and 1 brother, Jesse Allen Garnett. Mary is survived by 1 son, Larry D. Henry of Dry Ridge, Kentucky; 1 daughter, Sharon M. Henry, of Independence, Kentucky;6 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Earl Garnett of Cordova, Kentucky, and Robert Garnett of Walton, Kentucky;and 1 sister, Norma McIntosh of Cordova, Kentucky.

Funeral services for Mary will be 3:00pm Sunday, March 15, 2009 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, Kentucky, with burial at the Hillcrest Cemetery,Dry Ridge, Kentucky. Visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00pm, Saturday, March 14, 2009 at the funeral home.
