Daniese Souder Cahill

September 27, 1916 - March 3, 2009

WILLIAMSTOWN - Mrs. Daniese Souder Cahill passed away at her residence in Williamstown on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at the age of 92 years, 5 months, and 4 days.

Mrs. Cahill was born on Sept. 27, 1916 in Holbrook, Grant County, KY to the late Leslie Lee Souder and Amanda Kathryn Poe. She was a Beauty Operator for 50 years for Daniese's Beauty Shoppe and was also a homemaker.

Daniesewas a past president of the Grant County Historical Society, past president of the Grant Co. Women's Club, member of the Williamstown Homemakers, and member of the St. Williams Altar Society.

Mrs. Cahill was the widow of Joseph Francis "Pete" Cahill who died April 10, 1990. She was married to Pete on April 20, 1954.

She is survived by her son Pat Cahill (Billie) of Dry Ridge, KY and daughter Catherine Cahill of Williamstown, KY. Shehas two grandchildren Preston and Olivia Cahill of Dry Ridge, KY. Mrs. Cahill is also survived by two sisters Iren Taylor of Newton, N.C. and Geraldine Laube of Newton, N.C.

Daniese will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

SERVICE TIMES:

Visitation for Mrs. Cahill will be Friday, March 6, 2009 from 5-8 pm at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 11A.M. at the St. Williams Catholic Church in Williamstown, with a one hour lie in state at 10 AM. Father William Hinds will be officiating the services. Burial will follow at the Williamstown Cemetery.
