William Jack Conner Sr

January 24, 1920 - March 2, 2009

WILLIAMSTOWN- Mr. William Jack Conner, Sr. passed away March 2, 2009 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Grant County at the age of 89 years. He was the widower of Marcella Ritter Conner. Mr. Conner was born on January 24th, 1920 to the late Eben and Jessie Conner in Georgia.

Mr. Conner is a World War II Army veteran. Hewas a retired master mechanic welder for Littleford Asphalt Co. in Cincinnati, Ohio for over 20 years.

Mr. Conner is survived by three sons, Jack Conner, Jr. of Williamstown, KY, Jerry Conner of Cincinnati, OH, and Larry Conner of Erlanger, KY, one daughter, Mary C. Smith of Williamstown, KY and seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by threehalf-brothers LE Spain and Carl William "CW" Spain of Chattanooga, TN,James Conner of Cincinnati, OH and two half-sisters, Billie Vaughn and Dorothy Wilson of Chattanooga, TN.

In addition to his wife Marcella, Mr. Conner was preceded in death by his brothers Joseph and Kenneth Conner, sister Pauline Pemberton, and step-brother Edward Conner.

Mr. Conner will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral Services for Mr. Conner will be held Friday, March 6, 2009 at 2 pm with a lie in state at 11am. All services will be at Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY. Rev. Ronald Angell will be officiating the services.
