Rev. Everett Clay Walters was born in Menifee County, Kentucky on Sept. 7, 1934 to the late Millard and Develda Williams Walters. Hedeparted this lifeat theGrant Manor Healthcare Center on February 15, 2009 at the age of 74.


He was the father of Michael Wayne Walters of Williamstown, KY and Danny Blaine Walters of Dry Ridge, KY. He is also survived by his special friend of more than twenty years, Edna Miller, and two brothers, Tommy and Carl Walters, both of Crittenden, KY. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie and Mearl Walters, and one sister, Mary Scroggin.


Rev. Walters is a graduate of the Clear Creek Seminary and was a very spiritually oriented, compassionate and heavy hearted man when considering everyone else but himself. He had a passion for helping and caring for children.


He was a member and paster of Sand Run Baptist Church of Hebron and has ministered to thousands of people for over 30 years in various churches including Latonia Baptist, Elliston Baptist and severalothers.


Visitation for Rev. Walters will be Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at the Williamstown Baptist Church from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009 at 11 a.m. with a one hour lie in state at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at the Williamstown Cemetery. Rev. Chuck Walters will be conducting the services, assisted by Rev. Howard Chipman.


Memorials are suggested to the Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital, 1900 Richmond Rd., Lexington, KY 40502.


Rev. Everett Clay Walters will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
