Glenna Thompson Beach

August 1, 1938 - February 10, 2009

Glenna Marie Thompson Beach was born in Mason, Kentucky in Grant County on August 1, 1935 and passed away at the St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, Kentucky in Kenton County on February 10, 2009 at the age of 70. She was the daughter of the late Richard Berry and Mary Elizabeth Epperson Thompson.

Mrs. Beach was united in marriage with Ronald Delano Beach on August 25, 1956. From this union one son: Greg Beach of Crittenden, KY; and four daughters: Teresia Marie McArthur of Georgetown, KY, Cindy Applegate of Lexington, KY, Rhonda Caldwell of Dry Ridge, KY and Melinda Horton of Crittenden, KY were born. In addition to her loving husband of 52 years, Glenna is survived by two brothers: Russell Thompson and Richard Thompson of Dry Ridge, KY; two sisters: Doris Eibeck of Walton, KY and Eileen Herzog of Covington; seven grandchildren: Elizabeth Parker, Ashley Caldwell-Dyer, Whitney Beach, Leslie Applegate, Staci Caldwell, Stephen Applegate and Travis Horton; one great granddaughter: Courtney Metz and many other friends and relatives.

Mrs. Beach worked at the Dry Ridge Elementary School for 13 years as secretary. She was a 1956 graduate of the Grant County High School. She was a member of the Kentucky Baptist Disaster Relief Organization and had been a former director of the W.M.U. Her church membership was with the Unity Baptist Church in Pendleton County, KY.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, February 13, 2009 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097 with visitation at the funeral home on Thurday, Feb. 12, 2009 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Burial will take place in the New Vine Run Cemetery in Dry Ridge, KY. Memorials are suggested to the Haven of Rest Ministries in Inez, KY, the St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood, KY or the American Cancer Society.
