Raymond Sasher

March 10, 1924 - January 31, 2009

Raymond "Ray" Sasher was born on Keefer Road in Corinth, Kentucky on March 10, 1924 and passed away at the Grant Manor Health Care Center in Williamstown, Kentucky on January 31, 2009 at the age of 84. He was the son of the late Fred and Hattie Ignite Sasher.

On December 30, 1958, he was united in marriage with Lena Frances Hensley. From this union four sons: Ronnie Sasher of Dry Ridge, KY, Jerry Sasher of Lexington, KY, Gary Sasher of Lexington, KY and Freddie Sasher of Mt. Sterling, KY and one daughter: Donna Nickells of Williamstown, KY. In addition to his loving wife and children, Mr. Sasher is survived by one brother: Walter Sasher of Williamstown, KY and one sister: Ethel Readnour of Dry Ridge, KY; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Mr. Sasher was a farmer and a construction worker. He was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 3:00 PM at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY with visitation at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Wednesday. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery.
