Inez Herron Martin

August 8, 1918 - January 30, 2009

Inez Mildred Herron Martin was born in Grant County, Kentucky on August 8, 1918 and passed away at the Grant Manor Health Care Center in Williamstown, Kentucky on January 30, 2009 at the age of 90. She was the daughter of the late Leslie Omer and Lassa Spicer Herron.

Mrs. Martin is survived by one daughter:, A. Kay Odor of Winchester, KY. Her husband, Denver passed away on June 1, 1999 while her daughter, Linda Lonkard died on January 18, 2006 and her son, Jerold Ray Martin died on September 6, 1949. In addition to her loving daughter, Inez is survived by one brother: Paul Herron of Williamstown, KY; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. A sister, RuthCrooks also preceded her in death.

She was a longtime faithful member of the Mt. Pleasant Church of Christ where she was the unofficial historian. Inez graduated from the Williamstown High School in 1934. Funeral services will be 1:30 PM Monday at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY with visitation on Monday from Noon until 1:30 PM. Burial will be in the Williamstown Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Church of Christ of the Grant County Public Library.
