Mary Janet Johnson

December 6, 1938 - October 29, 2016

Mary Janet Brock Johnson was born Dec. 6, 1938 in Insul, Kentucky and passed away Oct. 29, 2016 in Dry Ridge, Kentucky at the age of 77. She was the daughterof the late Willie Crit and Bessie Mae Fritz Brock.

On June 21, 1959, Mary was united in marriage to Ben Richard Johnson. In addition to her husband of 57 years, she is survived by her son: Brad Johnson (Dena) of Dry Ridge, 2 sisters: Sudie Henry of Williamstown and Shirley Ruth Dailey of Corinth; and 3 granddaughters: Sabrina Johnson, Whitney Johnson and Mallory Johnson all of Dry Ridge.

Mary was a member of Dry Ridge Christian Church and a homemaker. She was a volunteer for Helping Hands in Williamstown for many years. She enjoyed quilting and worked part time at the Quilt Box in Dry Ridge. She was also very well known as a Band Mom with the Grant County High School Marching Band where all the members lovingly called her "Grammy".

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 132 S. Main St., Crittenden, KY 41030. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge.
