Thelma Dell Wallace Porter

Thelma Dell Wallace Porter of Independence, KY was born April 9, 1920 in Williamstown, KY and died Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at her residence at the age of 94.
She was the daughter of the late John Lawrence and Rosa Belle Earls Wallace, a homemaker, and a member of the Wesleyan Christian Church, Covington, KY were she was a former Sunday school teacher. On July 31, 1941 she was united in marriage to her husband James Alvin Porter, who preceded her in death Nov. 7, 2009.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by 1 son, James H. Porter; 1 sister, Omega Wallace; and 6 brothers, Leondis, James, Kenneth, Henry, Carl, and Raymond Wallace.
Surviving is 1 son, John Foster (Alma) Porter of Independence; 1 daughter, Kellie Lynn Willoughby, of Frankfort; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren;2 brothers, Otto Wallace and David Wallace, both of Covington; and a sister-in-law, Arlene Porter of Walton.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, February 23, 2015 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Crittenden, followed by burial in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill. Visitation will be Sunday 3:00-6:00pm at the funeral home.
