Veldie Miracle

December 18, 1926 - February 23, 2015

Veldie Miracle of Williamstown was born Dec. 18, 1926 in Page, KY and died Mon., Feb. 23, 2015 at the Grant Center in Williamstown at the age of 88.

She was the daughter of the late George W. and Julie Pittman Thompson, a homemaker, a member of the Grant County Baptist Tabernacle and an avid quilt maker for her children and family. On Nov. 7, 1942 she was united in marriage to her late husband Luther Miracle. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Asenath Ann Julien in 2010.
Surviving is 3 sons, Gary Miracle of Lake Orien, MI, Kenneth Miracle of Vevay, IN and Dennis Miracle of Williamstown; 3 daughters, Kay Carol Burns of Williamstown, Brenda Bitler of Holly, MI, and Sandra Miracle of Williamstown; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Helen Meredith of Ft. Wayne, IN; and 2 brothers, Charles Thompson of Pineville, KY and Floyd Thompson of Howard City, MI.
Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Sat., Feb. 28, 2015 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, followed by burial in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge. Visitation will be 11:00am-1:00pm Sat. Feb. 23, 2015 at the funeral home.
