Beulah Mae Burgess Hedges was born in Williamstown, Kentucky on March 3, 1925 and passed away in Williamstown on February 3, 2015 at the age of 89.She was the daughter of the late Willie and Jennie Catherine Evans Burgess.


On February 25, 1951, Beulah was united in marriage with Kline Eldred Hedges, who died August 28, 2008.Mrs. Hedges is survived by her sister: Barbara Owen of Dry Ridge; brother: Bobby (Kathy) Burgess of Dry Ridge; sister-in-law, Barb W. Burgess of Dry Ridge; nieces: Sherry Ross of Owenton, Jennie Rose of Crittenden, Suzanne Epperson of Dry Ridge, Darlene (Gayle) West of Williamstown, Staci Owen of Dry Ridge, London Owen of Berea, Ashley Owen of Dry Ridge, Stephanie Richardson of Crittenden and Kasi White of New Castle; nephews: Steven (Dawn)Owen of Berea, Lane Owen of Berea, Jeff Burgess of Owenton, Josh Rose of Crittenden, Scott Burgess of Owenton, Michael Scott of Springfield, OH, Klint Bruce of Dry Ridge, Gary Rose of Crittenden and Sean Souder of Williamstown.Mrs. Hedges was preceded in death by a brother: Jake Burgess in 2011 and two sisters: Lucille Fritz in 2007 and Jewel Schulte in 2014 and nieces: Stephanie Owen Rose in 2010 and Judy Fritz Beach in 2009.

Beulah was a dairy farmer with her husband.She was active in her community as a volunteer with Helping Hands, past President of Grant County Extension Homemakers, past President of Town & Country Homemakers, past President of Grant County Hospital Auxiliary, and former member of the Board of Southern States and a committee member of the Grant County Fair.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, February 7, at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097.Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from Noon - 3:00 PM.Burial will be in the Williamstown Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Grant Co. Extension Homemakers, 105 Baton Rouge Rd., Williamstown, KY 41097
