Carl Maison Taylor, resident of Williamstown, was born in Dykes, Kentucky in Pulaski County on April 6, 1924 and passed away at St. Elizabeth, Grant County in Williamstown, Kentucky on February 2, 2015. He was the son of the late Chester Arthur and Mayme Helen Sears Taylor.
Carl is survived by his wife, the former, Shirley Maxine Ackman; son, C. Michael Taylor of Williamstown; brother, Floyd Taylor of Cincinnati; six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Two sons: Gary Lee Taylor and James Gregory Taylor; a brother, James Taylor and a sister, Mildred Linloft all preceded Carl in death.
A member of the Williamstown American Legion Robert P. McLachlan Post # 137, Mr. Taylor operated an Auto Body Repair shop and later a Radiator Repair Shop. Mr. Taylor was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard Merchant Marines during World War II.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, February 6, 2015 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown. Memorials may be made to the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North or the Salvation Army.
