Henry Daniel Ray, Jr., of Verona, Kentucky,was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 3, 1953 and passed away at the St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Florence, Kentucky on September 22, 2009 at the age of 56. He was the son of the late Henry Daniel Ray Sr. and Alma Oneida Carolina Hill Ray.
Hank is survived by his wife, Kitty Waller Ray; one son: Henry D. Ray III of Cincinnati, OH; three daughters: Dina Ray of Atlanta, GA, Deonne Ray of Atlanta, GA and Elise Johnson of College Hill, OH; one brother: William A. Ray of Madisonville, OH; one sister: Verneida Britton of Cincinnati, OH; five grandchildren: Cannon Patrick Ray, Ryan Spencer Ray, Zachary Daniel Waller, Marleigh Loraine Ray and Langston Alexander Johnson who isexpected in December of this yearand many other relatives and friends.
Mr. Ray was a carpenter and a member of Verona's First Full Gospel Church of God, Verona, KY. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam War.
Two separate funeral services will be held. The first will beSunday, September 27, 2009 at the Verona Full Gospel Church at 6:00 PM. The visitation will be from 4:00 until 6:00 PM on Sunday at the church. The second service will be held Monday, September 28, 2009 at the Crossroads Community Church, 3500 Madison Rd., Oakley, Cincinnati, OH at 1:00 PM with visitation at the church from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Burial will take place in the Vine Street Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio with full military honors. Memorial are suggested to the Henry Ray, Jr. Memorial Fund, P. O. Box 67, Verona, KY 41092, National Kidney Foundation or the Paralyzed Veteran of America.
