George Washington Angell, Jr. was born September 25, 1925 in Pendleton Co., Kentucky to the late George Washington and Ina Lee Sorrell Angell and passed away on September 17, 2009 in Williamstown, Kentucky at the age of 83 years.
On November 17, 1945, George was united in marriage to Mary Euelta Greene. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 sons: Danny Angell of Butler, Bobby Angell & Mark Angell both of Williamstown; 3 daughters: Sharon Bowen of Demossville, Rae Jean Howell of Dry Ridge, and Angela Callahan of Crittenden; 2 brothers: Jim Angell and Rev. Ronald Angell both of Demossville; 10 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters: Donnie Angell, Dorothy Lee Angell, Melvin Wilson Angell, Mildren Evelyn Tomlin, Norma Schneider, and Doris Ann Florer.
George was a retired Machinist for Cincinnati Ventilating Co. He also faithfully served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and at the time of his passing he remained a member of the Unity Baptist Church.
Services will be Monday, Sept. 21, at 11:00 AM at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown. Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 20, from 4:00 - 9:00 PM at the Funeral Home. The burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, North in Williamstown.
