Ruth Mae Lambert

May 11, 1932 - January 27, 2016

Ruth M. Bennett Lambert was born May 11, 1932 in Barbourville, Kentucky and passed away January 27, 2016 at her residence in Williamstown, Kentucky at the age of 83. She was the daughter of the late Deber Ray and Effie Sue Matlock Bennett.

Ruth was a dedicated in home health care cargiver until just a few months before her passing. She loved spending time crafting and creating folk art. But she probably most enjoyed spending time outdoors and hiking with her grandchildren and gathering inspiration for her folk art. She also loved her dog, Tinkerbell.

In August of 1948, Ruth was united in marriage to Harvey Tom "H.T." Lambert who preceded her in death on December 8, 2003. From this union Ruth and H.T. had 4 children who survive them. Surviving are 3 daughters: Eva Sue Mays of Florence, Pamela K. West of Williamstown and Ruth Ann Moss of Covington; a son: Tommy Gene Lambert of Barbourville; 2 sisters: Keveda P. Lambert of Barbourville and Opal Adams of Barbourville; and 21 Grandchildren and 28 Great Grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Beatrice Byrd and Cora Lee Lambert.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, February 26, 2016 at the Welfare House at Crittenden Park in Crittenden, Kentucky.
