Kenneth Ray Rains

Kenneth Ray Rains of Williamstown, Kentucky, was born April 30, 1939, in Middlesboro, Kentucky. He passed away Sunday, August 30, 2009, at his residence at the age of 70.

Kenneth was the son of the late Howard Clayton and Bessie Turner Rains, he was an Army National Guard, Veteran, and a truck driver. He was united in marriage to Geneva Vanover on September 10, 1962.

In addition to his wife, Kenneth is survived by 3 sons, Kenny Rains of Union, Kentucky, Jeff Rains of Hebron, Kentucky, and Sean Rains of Williamstown, Kentucky; 1 daughter Jeanine Rains of Harrogate, Tennessee; 12 grandchildren; 1 brother, Joe Ed Rains of Park Hills, Kentucky; and 5 sisters, Clauetta Duncan of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Judy Grout of Florence, Kentucky, Betty Surkamp of Milford, Ohio, Dorothy Pendleton of Harrogate, Tennessee, and Martha Yeary, of Lafayette, Tennessee.

Kenneth was also preceded in death by 1 son, Bill Rains, and 1 brother Howard Rains, Jr.

Services for Kenneth will be 3:00pm Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, Kentucky, with burial in the Williamstown Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12:00 Noon Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at the funeral home.
