Junior Ray Burns

July 22, 1939 - January 24, 2009

Junior Ray Burns was born in Squabble Creek, Kentucky (Buckhorn) on July 22, 1939 and passed away on January 24, 2009 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center, South in Edgewood, Kentucky at the age of 69. He was the son of the late Holly and Effie Sandlin Burns.

Ray is survived by his wife, Kay Carol Miracle Burns; three daughters: Barbara Burns of Louisville, KY, Carol Lee Burns McIntosh of Indiana and Kimberly Joy Harper of Hebron, KY; three sons: Curtis Lee Burns of Seymour, IN, Jeff Burns of Ohio and Ray Burns, Jr. of Erlanger, KY; two sisters: Mae Jean McCombs of Berea, KY and Wanda Hammons of Berea, KY; 10 grandchildren; three great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Mr. Burns had been a construction pipe layer. He served his country as a soldier with the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Friday, January 30, 2009 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY. Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097 in charge of arrangements.
