Robert N Latimer

December 30, 1924 - January 18, 2009

Robert Nay Latimer was born in Williamstown, Kentucky on December 30, 1924 and passed away at the Grant Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center in Williamstown, Kentucky on January 18, 2009 at the age of 84. He was the son of the late Everett Elwood and Emma Brown Caldwell Latimer.

On October 26, 1947, he was united in marriage with the former Mary Olive Bennett who passed away on July 19, 2007 after nearly 60 years of marriage. From this union, two sons survive: Larry Latimer of Hamilton, Ohio and Robert E. Latimer of Williamstown, Kentucky (formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio). One daughter, Karen Latimer Davis Parker preceded her mother in death on August 9, 2001. In addition to his loving children, Robert is survived by one sister: Emogene McClanahan of Williamstown, KY; six granddaughters: Kim, Kelly, Lori, Melisa, Megan and Marla; seven great grandchildren: Patrick, Tyler, Emily, Hunter, Bailey, Ben and Sam; and many other relatives and friends.

Bob was a member of the Grant County Farm Bureau, a former Member of the Board of Directors ofthe A.S.C.S. anda former Board Member of the Farmers Home Administration. He was an active member of the FairviewChristian Church where he served as Elder andtaught Sunday School. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army Infantry during World War II and a lifelong farmer.

Funeral services for Mr. Latimer will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 23, 2009 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097 with visitation at the funeral home from 5 - 8 PM on Thursday, January 22, 2009. Memorials are suggested to the Fairview Christian Church, 495 Fairview Rd., Williamstown, KY 41097. Burial will take place in the Williamstown Cemetery, Williamstown, KY.
