Jo Kinman Taylor

February 3, 1930 - January 6, 2009

Claretta Jo Kinman Taylor was born in Williamstown, Kentucky on February 3, 1930 and passed away at her residence in Dry Ridge, Kentucky on January 6, 2009 at the age of 78. She was the daughter of the late Louis Rathburn and Minnie Mae Mershon Kinman.

On August 2, 1946, Jo was united in marriage with L. C. Taylor who preceded her in death on July 8, 1968. From this union two sons survive: Louis Richard Taylor of Chapmanvile, WV and Billy Joe Taylor of Williamstown, KY. One son, Robert Allen Taylor died on August 10, 1992. In addition to her loving children, Mrs. Taylor is survived by one brother: Junior Kinman of Williamstown, KY; three granddaughters; three step grandsons; five great grandchildren; five step great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Jo was a member of the Grassy Run Baptist Church and the Assistant Administratoras well as an active member of the Board of Directors of the Dry Ridge Housing Authority. She had been an employee of the Owens-Illinois Company and the Square D Company in Florence, KY

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 10, 2009 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 9:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge, KY . Memorials are suggested to the Grassy Run Baptist Church c/o Mrs. Utha Simpson, 2395 Tebelman Road, Williamstown, KY or the American Heart Association.
