Claudine Race Roland

Claudine Race Roland was born February 20, 1914 in Scott County, Kentucky, and passed away Monday, January 5, 2009 at the Grant Manor Nursing Home at the age of 94.

Claudine was the daughter of the late Leslie Francis and Pearl Warman Race. She was a member of the Lystra Church of Christ, a retired shipping clerk for the Square D Co., in Florence, Kentucky, and a homemaker. Claudine was united in marriage in May of 1937 to Clarence Franklin Roland, who preceded her in death.

Claudine is survived by 4 Sons, Howard Blaine Roland of Independence, KY, Bobby G. Roland of Nineveh, IN, Buford Roland of Indianapolis, IN, and Billy F. Roland of Warsaw, KY; 7 Daughters, Aline Kenny of Williamstown, KY, Sue Perkins of Williamstown, KY, Norma Kerns of Charlotte, NC, Georgetta Duncan ofOwenton, KY, Betty Souderof Warsaw, KY, Vicky Adams of Warsaw, KY,and Dora Ann Griffin ofFt. Thomas, KY; 2 Sisters Edna Wagner of Cincinnati, OH, and Dorothy Lohbeck of Cincinnati, OH; 33 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.

Services for Claudine will be at 1:00pmFriday, January 9, 2008 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY. with burialat the Keefer Cemetery, Grant County, KY. Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday, January 8, 2008, from 4:00 - 9:00pm.
