Elbert Franklin Landrum was a resident of Crittenden, Kentucky. He was born in Bracht, Kentucky in Kenton County on August 21, 1929 and passed away at the St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood, Kentucky in Kenton County on January 3, 2009 at the age of 79. He was the son of the late Frank and Mary Whaley Landrum.
He was united in marriage with the former Margaret Ingram. In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Landrum is survived by five children: sons: Rick Landrum of Crittenden, KY and Terry Landrum of Edgewood, KY; and daughters: Anita Hacker of Villa Hills, KY, Margie Newman of Crittenden, KY and Cheryl Arnold of Dry Ridge, KY. Also surviving are three brothers: Lee Landrum of Crittenden, KY, Estil Landrum of Crittenden, KY and Don Landrum of Edgewood, KY; three sisters: Erma Mullins of Morning View, KY, Betty Lou Hollon of Crittenden, KY and Kathryn Morgan of Crittenden, KY; ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Three brothers previously died.
Dickie, as he was widely known, was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Goshen Baptist Church, an avid fisherman and a NASCAR fan. He retired from the Eaton Asphalt Company where he worked in road construction.
Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family after a private family visitation.
