Opal Chipman Wolfe

January 10, 1919 - December 27, 2008

Opal Fay Chipman Wolfe, resident of Williamstown, was born in Grant County, Kentucky on January 10, 1919 and passed away at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Grant County, in Williamstown, Kentucky on December 27, 2008 at the age of 89. She was the daughter of the late Omer Sales and Anna Belle Mullins Chipman.

On August 24, 1937 she was united in marriage with Alvin Nicholas Wolfe who died February 12, 1973. From this union two daughters: Betty Kellam of Dry Ridge, KY and Louise Osborne of Williamstown, KY and three sons: David Wolfe and Larry Wolfe, both of Williamstown, KY and Bobby Wolfe of Cincinnati, OH were born. In addition to her loving children, Opal is survived by one sister: Doris Kearns of Dry Ridge, KY; 11 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. A sister, Audra May Adkins and a twin brother, Oakley Chipman preceded Mrs. Wolfe in death.

Mrs. Wolfe had been an employee of the Kentucky Department of Highways working at the Richwood Rest Area. She had formerly sewed baseball for the Williamstown Manufacturing Company. She was a faithful member of the Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Williamstown, KY.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wolfe will be 2:00 PM Monday, December 29, 2008 at the Oak Ridge Baptist Church, Oak Ridge Road, Williamstown, KY with visitation at the church from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM Monday, Dec. 29, 2008. Burial will follow in the Williamstown Cemetery, Williamstown, KY. Memorials are suggested to the Oak Ridge Baptist Church, the Concord Baptist Church in Dry Ridge, KY or the Gideons International.
