Cecil Ray "Buck" Sargent

June 5, 1935 - January 3, 2015

Cecil Ray "Buck" Sargent, of Dry Ridge was born June 5, 1935 in Williamstown, KY and died Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital, Edgewood, KY at the age of 79.

He was the son of the late William and Katherine Gulick Sargent, A retired truck driver for Square D Co., and a retired salesman for Piles Chevrolet.He was a member of the Dry Ridge Baptist Church. On April 5, 1955 he was united in marriage to his wife Joyce Elaine Toole Sargent.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Jenna Brown and Patsy Smith.
Survivors include his wife Elaine; 1 son, Lanny Sargent of Burlington; 1 daughter, Lori (John) Cook of Dry Ridge; 1 granddaughter, Brittany (Tyler) Adams of Georgetown; 1 sister Jewel Smith of Ft. Mitchell; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was eagerly awaiting the birth of his great grandson Aiden Welch Adams in May 2015.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, with burial to follow in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge. Visitation will 4:00-8:00pm Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the funeral home.
