John D Hemingway

John D. Hemingway of Sparta, KY was born February 5, 1942 in Covington, KY and died Wednesday, November 26, 2014 in Florence, KY at the age of 72.

He was the son of the late Edgar James and Orpha Henderson Hemingway, a member of the Sparta Baptist Church, and a retired equipment operator and grounds keeper for the Highlands Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, KY. John was preceded in death by his wife Deborah K. King Hemingway, and a daughter, Patricia Ann Edmondson.
Survivors are 3 sons, Johnny K Hemingway of Jonesville, Donald Ray Hemingway of Owenton, and James Hemingway of Bedford; 1 daughter, Karen Sue Thompson of Owenton; 9 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, December 1, 2014 at the Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona, KY followed by burial in the Glencoe Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
