Freda Marie Fortner

October 30, 1939 - December 14, 2008

Freda Marie Osborne Fortner, resident of Lusby Mill Community,was born in Wyoming Township, Cincinnati,Ohio on October 30,1939 and passed away at the St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, Kentucky on December 14, 2008 at the age of 69.She was the daughter of thelate Henry Robert Osborne and Josephine Indrak Osborne Cooper.

On May 16, 1976, Mrs. Fortner was united in marriage withFreddie Wayne Fortner.In addition to her loving husband, Mrs. Fortner is survived by a birth son: Charles Courtney Craig of Cincinnati, OH; five stepchildren: Carnita "Nita" Fortner of Louisville, KY, Anna Marie Doss of Lawrenceburg, KY, Lana Elaine Bailey of Frankfort, KY, Sandra Dee Patton of Lexington, KY, and Michael Wayne Fortner of Frankfort, KY; one sister: Cathy Jones, of Hebron, KY; special nieces: Mary Jo Stacey of Crittenden, KY and Sierra Rae Stacey of Crittenden, KY; a special nephew: Andrew C. Jones of Petersburg, KY and many other relatives and friends. A brother, Charles "Chuck" Osborne preceded Freda in death. Mrs. Fortner had been a nurse in the Cincinnati, Ohio area for 16 years.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, December 18, 2008 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097 with visitation at the funeral home from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Thursday. Burial will follow in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in Holbrook, KY.
