John W. Carlotta, resident of Dry Ridge, Kentucky, was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 24, 1929 and passed away at the St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, Kentucky on November 26, 2008 at the age of 79. He was the son of Gaetano and Giovannina Bruno Carlotta.

"Uncle John", as he was well known,is survived by his loving wife, Cheri Ann Carlotta; his daughter: Rosanne Hatfield of Goshen, OH; seven sons: William Carlotta of Hamilton, OH, Anthony Carlotta of Mt. Healthy, OH, Michael Carlotta of Price Hill, OH, Robert Carlotta of Lawrenceburg, IN, Daniel Carlotta of Mt. Healthy, OH, Dominic Carlotta of Union, KY, andCarmen Carlotta of Erlanger, KY; two brothers: Paul Carlotta of Ft. Mitchell, KY and Samuel Carlotta of Erlanger, KY; two sisters: Josie Reed of Ft. Thomas, KY and Mary Steers of Northside, OH; 19 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and many other friends and relatives.

Mr. Carlotta was a roofer by occupation and was self employed. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, November 29, 2008 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 132 S. Main St., Crittenden, KY 41030. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, near Dry Ridge, Kentucky
