Flora Wren Skirvin

August 8, 1929 - November 16, 2008

Flora Louise Wren Skirvin was born August 8, 1929in Dry Ridge, Kentucky and passed away at her residence in Williamstown, Kentucky on November 16, 2008 at the age of 79. She was the daughter of the late John Richard and Otie Kathryn Cobb Wren.

On October 25, 1947, Flora was united in marriage with Henry Floyd Skirvin. From this union two daughters were born: Kathryn Kyde of Hamilton, Ohio and Deborah Padgett of Williamstown, KY. In addition to her loving husband of 61 years and her daughters, Mrs. Skirvin is survived by three grandchildren: Robert Kyde, Joseph Kyde and Danielle Padgett; one brother: Lawrence Wren of Warner Robbins, Ga.; one sister: Edna Innes of Kansas and many other relatives and friends. A grandson: Richie Kyde; four brothers: Kenneth Audrey Wren, Clyde William Wren, Richard Wren, Jr., and James Milford Wren; and two sisters: Zula Hathorn and Edith Kelley all preceded Mrs. Skirvin in death.

Mrs. Skirvin had been a seamstress with Sizemore Manufacturing Co. and had been employed by Williamstown Manufacturing and Mitts Restaurant. She was a member of the Williamstown Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home,500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY with visitation at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday. Burial will take place in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge, KY. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Elizabeth Home Health Hospice.
