Clarence Henry Lamb, Jr. was born in Newport, Kentucky in Campbell County on April 24, 1923 and passed away at the Georgetown Community Hospital in Georgetown, Kentucky in Scott County on November 9, 2008 at the age of 85. He was a resident of Verona, Kentucky andthe son of the late Clarence Henry and Edna Marie Meyer Lamb.
On March 6, 1942, Mr. Lamb was united in marriage with the former Alice Faye Huffman. From this union two daughters: Debby Wilson of Walton, Kentucky and Melody Mastin of Verona, Kentucky and one son: Gary Lee Lamb were born. Gary preceded his father in death on October 27, 1962. In addition to his loving wife and daughters, Clarence is survived by one sister: Jean Simpson of Portland, Oregon; four grandchildren: Chris Mastin, Lauren Hellard, Aubrey Wilson and Mallory Wilson; one great grandson: Grant Mastin and many other relatives and friends. One brother: Harold Joseph Lamb and one sister: Esther Browning also preceded Mr. Lamb in death.
Mr. Lamb retired in 1976 after working 63 years as a union structual ironworker. He was a member of the Golden Rule Lodge #345 F. & A. M. in Covington, Kentucky, the Ironworkers Local #44 of Cincinnati, Ohio and the St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Park Hills, Kentucky
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 13, 2008 at the Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, 14635 Walton-Verona Rd., Verona, KY 41092. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky. Memorials are suggested to the St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Rd.,Edgewood, KY 41018or the New Bethel Baptist Church, 2022 Verona - Mudlick Rd., Verona, KY 41092
