Dave William Wright

May 18, 1926 - October 31, 2008

Dave William Wright was born in Owen County, Kentucky on May 18, 1926 and passed away at the Grant Manor Rehabilitation and Health Center in Williamstown, Kentucky on October 31, 2008 at the age of 82. He was the son of the late Clarence William and May M. Jones Wright.

On December 18, 1942, Dave was united in marriage with the former Ella Mae Hall. From this union two sons: Kline Wright of Dry Ridge, KYand Allen Wayne Wright of Richwood, KY; and three daughters: Kathy Diann Kelly of Dry Ridge, KY, Carol Sponcil of Dry Ridge, KY and Mickie Jones of Williamstown, KY were born. In addition to his loving wife of 65 years and his children,Mr. Wright is survived by two brothers: Henry Wright of Dry Ridge, KY and Ben Wright of Dry Ridge, KY; one sister: Elnora Roland of Ninevah, IN; a special sister-in-law: Nancy Day; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Two grandchildren: Michael Wright and Lisa Kelley Hunterand two brothers: Bobby Wright and Delbert Wright and one sister: Frances Clifton Alexanderpreceded Mr. Wright in death.

Dave was a truck driver for Foley Construction and a farmer. He was a member of the Knoxville Baptist Church.Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, 240 Whittington Parkway, Louisville, KY 40222 or the American Cancer Society, 6612 Dixie Highway, Suite 2A, Florence, KY 41042.

Funeral services will be held at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY on Monday, November 3, 2008 at 11:00 AM. The visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
