Wilbur Lee "Jr." Anderson was born in Covington, Kentucky on October 23, 1930 and passed away at the Villa Springs Nursing Home in Erlanger, Kentucky on October 18, 2008 at the age of 77. He was the son of the late Wilbur Logan and Gladie Marie Justice Anderson.
"Junior", as he was widely known is survived by two brothers: Ray Anderson of Union, KY and George Anderson of Walton, KY; four sisters: Priscilla Losey of Walton, KY, Faye Richardson of Independence, KY, Judy Jones of Covington, KY and Tonya Hartke of Burlington, KY; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by one brother: Homer Anderson and two sisters: Donna Neal and Myrtle Luttrell.
Mr. Anderson was a longtime employee of the United State Postal Service as a mail handler in the Covington Post Office and formerly was a machinist with the Monarch Tool Company in Covington. He served his country for over 15 years in both the United States Army and the United States Air Force. He was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He remained a member of both the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Funeral services for Mr. Anderson will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home in Crittenden, KY with visitation at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008. Memorials may be made to either the American Legion or the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
