Donald Earl Kirkham

June 27, 1930 - October 12, 2008

Donald Earl Kirkham was born in Portland, Sumner County, Tennessee on June 27, 1930 and passed away at his residence in Williamstown, Kentucky on October 12, 2008 at the age of 78. He was the son of the late Ottie and Eura Brown Kirkham.

Don was united in marriage with the former Ruby Emmogean Bridges Kirkham on July 21, 1951. From this union one daughter was born: Pam Riley. In addition to his loving wife and daughter, Mr. Kirkham is survived by two brothers: Douglas and Lloyd Kirkham of Tennessee; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He retired from the Penn Central Railroad after 30 years as a car inspector. He served his community through his service in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He received two purple hearts one with the gold star.

Funeral services will be held privately for the family in Gamaliel, Kentucky. Entombment will be held in the Monroe County Memorial Lawn, Tompkinsville, KY.
