Louise Baker

October 7, 1918 - September 21, 2008

Louise Catherine Weatherford Baker was born in Kentucky on October 7, 1918 and passed away on September 21, 2008 at the Hospice of the Bluegrass Care Center in Ft. Thomas, KY at the age of 89. She was the daughter of the late George Richard and Maggie Gentry Weatherford.

On April 12, 1940 she was united in marriage with James Raymond Baker, who preceeded her in death in 1988. From this union, three sons were born: James R. Baker, Jr. of Redondo Beach, CA, Richard W. Baker of Dunnellon, FL and Dry Ridge, KY, and David E. Baker of Verona, KY. In addition to her sons, she is survived by one brother, Frank Weatherford of Burlington, KY and two sisters, Mildred Duncan of Milford, OH and Grace Baker of Florence, KY. She had 14 grandchildren and 31great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Baker was a cook with Skychef Food Service with American Airlines. She was a member of Amity Baptist Church of Taylor Mill, KY.

Funeral services will be held Noon, Thursday, September 25, 2008 at the Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona, KY with Rev. George Naylorofficiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00am to Noon on Thursday.
