Williamstown- Darold L. Moorefield, 76, died Saturday, March 27, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Grant Co.

Mr. Moorefield was born on May 28, 1933 in Lee Co., KY to the late A.B. Moorefield and Maudie Booth Moorefield. Mr. Moorefield is survived by his girlfriend of 25 years, Carolyn Dunn of Williamstown, Ky, one sister, Helen Durham of Cincinnati, OH., and one niece, Gina Blume of Cincinnati, OH.

Mr. Moorefield was retired from Ford Motor Company as a machine operator of 31 yrs, he was a lifelong farmer, and a U.S. Navy veteran.

Mr. Moorefield had a passion for animals, and loved to ride horses, hunt and fish. He was a member of the Grant Co. Saddle Club.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 9-10am with the funeral to follow at 10am, both at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, KY. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. at the Crabtree cemetery in Fixer, KY.
