Cossie Basil Wampler

Mr. Cossie Basil Wampler, of Dry Ridge, KY was born August 12, 1933 in Lynch, KY. He passed away Thursday, February 11, 2010 at his residence at the age of 76 years.

Mr. Wampler was the son of the late Cossie Clifford and Grace Helen Huff Wampler, he was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of the UMWA local # 7425 in Benham, KY, a retired Coal Miner with the Arch Minerals Co. of Cumberland, KY and retired Head Mechanic for Creech Motor Co. of Cumberland, KY. Mr.Wampler was united in marriage on June 23, 1956, to Thelma Begley Wampler.

In addition to his loving wife of 53 years, Mr. Wampler is also survived by 1 son, Greg Wampler of Walton, KY; 1 daughterHolly Pelfreyof Dry Ridge, KY; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Doris Hall of Morristown, TN and Jane Phillips of Xenia, OH.

Funeral services for Mr. Wampler will be 2:00pm Sunday, February 14, 2010 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, KY with the burial in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge, KY. Visitation will be 4:00pm to 8:00pm Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the funeral home.
