Carol Lee Hughes

September 15, 1943 - December 30, 2015

Carol Cornett Hughes was born September 15, 1943 in Lincoln Co., Kentucky and passed away December 30, 2015 in Berry, Kentucky at the age of 72. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Ruth Marie Snyder Cornett.

Carol was a retired operator for Cincinnati Bell. She loved spending her time quilting, cooking, traveling and shopping. She loved animals of all kinds.

Carol is survived by her husband of more than 50 years: George L. Hughes. In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter: Robin Zentmeyer (Jim) of Cincinnati; her son: George Hughes of Williamstown; three grandchildren: Brooke Zentmeyer, Grant Zentmeyer and Cate Zentmeyer all of Cincinnati; and a sister: Betty Miller of North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by a brother: James W. "Sonny" Cornett.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown. Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Sunday. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery in Cynthiana.
