Shirley Jean Gabbard

October 23, 1935 - December 24, 2015

Shirley Jean Isaacs Gabbard was born October 23, 1935 in McKee, Kentucky and passed away Dec. 24, 2015 in Taylor Mill, Kentucky at the age of 80. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Virgie Sparks Isaacs.

Shirley was a retired inspector for Keebler Company. She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband: Hershel Clinton Gabbard in 2010 and a sister: Evelyn Blackburn.

She is survived by 2 sons: Rod Gabbard of Taylor Mill and Rick Gabbard (Monica) of Independence; a daughter: Terri Anneken (Greg) of Dunedin, FL; a brother: Alonzo Isaacs of Russell Springs; 2 sisters: Loretta Smith of Mason, OH and Carolyn York of Johnson City, TN; 8 grandchildren: Scott Gabbard, Kyle Annekin, Chase Gabbard, Tamara Gabbard, Micah Anneken, Tori Ratliff, Candace Anneken, and Isaac Gabbard; and 6 great grandchildren: Tyler, Ayden, Brayden, Tatum, Ellie and Charlotte.

Graveside services will be 12:00 PM Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015 at the New Bethel Cemetery in Verona.
