Roy Elmer Chapman was born in Covington, Kentucky on December 30, 1944 and passed away at his home in Corinth, Kentucky on December 17, 2015 at the age of 70. He was the son of the late Roy Wilmer and Eliza Jane Webster Chapman.


"Bussie", as he was widely known, wasunited in marriage with Brenda Gail Koons on October 28, 1967. From this union two children were born: Roy (Robin) Chapman, Jr. of Corinth and Angie (Chris) Fortner of Corinth. In addition to his loving wife and children, Roy is survived by 3 grandchildren: Miles Fortner, Ryan Chapman and Rashelle Chapman and one brother: Bill Chapman of Goodyear, AZ. A brother and a sister: Marshall Chapman and Judy Finn preceded "Bussie" in death.


Mr. Chapman was a painter by trade and was a member of the IUPAT, painter's union. He had been baptized at an early age in the Concord Baptist Church in Gallatin County. He spent his childhood living in Monk in Gallatin County, Kentucky.


Memorial services for Mr. Chapman will be held at Noon on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, North in Williamstown, KY. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097.
