Dorothy G Kennedy

September 17, 1932 - December 10, 2015

Dorothy Gross Kennedy was born in Carroll County, Kentucky on September 17, 1932 and passed away at the Bridgepoint Nursing Home in Florence, Kentucky on December 10, 2015 at the age of 83. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Mamie Katherine Ellis Gross.

Dorothy was united in marriage with Clifford Edward Kennedy on April 20, 1945. From this union six children survive: Clifford Edward Kennedy, Jr. of Taylor Mill, Robert Evan Kennedy of Latonia, Judith Darlene Draper of Williamstown, Terry Lynn Ferguson of Florence, Tammy Sue Webster of Williamstown and Bobbi Jo Kennedy-Rulli of Florence. Two sons died as infants: Darryl Wayne Kennedy and Dale Brent Kennedy. Also surviving are two brothers: Robert Earl Gross of Florence and John William Gross of Orlando, FL; ten grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Kennedy loved her family and enjoyed sewing. She was a homemaker and assisted others in housecleaning.

Funeral services for Mrs. Kennedy will be 11:00 AM, Monday, December 14, 2015 at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with visitation prior to the funeral from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the church. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the St. Jude's Childrens Hospital or Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
