Mary E "Minnie" Ferguson

November 2, 1925 - July 11, 2010

Mary Evelyn Hutcheson Ferguson , of Florence, Kentucky, was born in Lexington, Kentucky on November 2, 1925 and passed away at the home of a son in Crittenden, Kentucky on July 11, 2010 at the age of 84. She was daughter of the late Robert Gayle and Evelyn Mary Botts Hutcheson.

On August 6, 1949, she was united in marriage with Neal Vernon Ferguson who preceded her in death on May 1, 1967. From this union seven sons: Neil V. Ferguson of Florence, Paul R. Ferguson of Florence, Jeffrey C. Ferguson of Dry Ridge, Charles Michael Ferguson of Union, Rodney Ferguson of Florence, Christopher Ferguson of Dry Ridge and Philip L. Ferguson of Florence and one daughter: Nanci Ferguson of Florence were born. In addition to her loving children, "Minnie" as she was widely known is survived by her sister: Dorothy Gayle Hauser of Westchester,Ohio; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Ferguson was a member of the All Saints Catholic Parish in Walton, Kentucky and worked as a Headstart teacher's assistant in Covington and as a teacher's assistant with the Florence Christian Daycare.

Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, July 15, 2010 at the All Saints Catholic Church, 62 Needmore St., Walton, Kentucky 41094. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at the Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home, 14635 Walton-Verona Rd., Verona, KY 41092. Burial will follow in the St. Patrick Cemetery, Hwy 14, Verona, KY. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital, 1900 Richmond Rd., Lexington, KY 40502-1298.
