CRITTENDEN - Lloyd Thomas Russell, 85 yrs, died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at his residence in Crittenden after a long illness. Mr. Russell wasborn to the late John W. Russell, and Lucy Ann Murphy Russell. Mr.Russell was preceded in death by his wife Irene Martin Russell.
Mr. Russell was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a military policeman who served in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe. Mr. Russell was a retired butcher for Kahns Meat's in Cincinnati, OH, a Kentucky Colonel, and a former assistant scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America.
Mr. Russell is survived by three sons, Dennis L. Russell of Crittenden, KY, Steven T. Russell of Erlanger, KY, Joseph K. Russell of Covington, KY, four daughters, Patricia A. Dion of Corinth, KY, Diana S. Horn of Florence, KY, Teresa K. Russell of Ft. Mitchell, Molly K. Black of Crittenden, KY, one brother, John C. Russell of Paris, TN, one sister Violet Thomas of Liberty, KY, eleven Grandchildren, thirteen Great Grandchildren, and two Great Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, June 25, 2010 from 5-8 pm at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, in Crittenden, KY. Funeral Services will be at 1 pm, on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Dry Ridge, KY.
