Robert Kenneth Lawrence

December 9, 1926 - June 20, 2010

Robert K. Lawrence, 83 of Florence, formerly of Grant County died Sunday, June 20 at St. Elizabeth-Edgewood, KY.



He was employed by CSX Railroad as a clerk for 37 years and was also a farmer for 49 years. He also served in the US Army during WWII. He was a member of the First Church of Christ, Burlington, KY.



His wife of 41 years, Janet Roland Lawrence died in 1990. He was the son of the late Tilden and Leona Sebree Lawrence.



Survivors include two sons, Rodney B. Lawrence, Florence, KYand Kenneth G. Lawrence, Morningview, KY; one brother, Marvin R. Lawrence, Williamstown, KY; seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and long time companion, Lena Henderson, Florence, KY. He was also preceded in death by one son, Michael Kenneth Lawrence (1970) and one daughter, Vicki Sue Holland (2005).



Visitation will be 5pm to 8pm, Tuesday, June 22. Service will be 11am,

Wednesday, June 23 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 North Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Burial will be in the Williamstown Cemetery, Williamstown, KY.
