James Wren

January 7, 1941 - June 22, 2010

WARSAW - Jim D. Wren, 69, died Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at the Hospice Care Center of Northern KY, Ft. Thomas. Mr. Wren was the husband of Janice Smith Wren and the son of the late Steven Franklin Wren and Stella Vanwinkle.

Mr. Wren was a retired Maintenance Supervisor for the Gallatin County Board of Education. Mr. Wren was a member of the Vineyard Christian Church, Florence, KY. Mr. Wren was the last of a family of seven, had a passion for woodworking, and loved his children and grandchildren dearly.

Mr. Wren was united in marriage on Dec. 26, 1959 to his lovely wife Janice Smith Wren of Warsaw, KY. In addition to Janice, Mr. Wren is survived by three sons, James "Jim" M. Wren of Glencoe, KY, Mark A. Wren of Denver, CO., Christopher "Chris" F. Wren of Union, KY, one daughter, Karen D. Gross of Glencoe, KY, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Visitation for Mr. Wren will be Thursday, Jun 24, 2010 from 5 to 8 pm at the Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home in Verona, KY. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Friday, June 25, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, in Erlanger, KY.
