Carl Virgil Seivers was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on June 25, 1925 and passed away at the St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, Kentucky on June 9, 2010 at the age of 84. He was the son of the late Crockett Virgil and Allie Marie Busch Seivers.
"Rabbit", as he has long been widely known,is survived by his wife of over 54 years, Melia H. Seivers; his son, Don Sustarich; his brother: Dermont Seivers; his sisters: Betty Sauders, Mary Moore and Carrie Lou Everett; his grandchildren: Michelle Smith, Donnie Sustarich and Elisha Stecht; his great grandchildren: Caitlyn, Chandler, Halley, Cameron, Gavin, Madison and Braden and many other relatives and friends. Two sisters, Ruth Barley and Wildean Snyder preceded Carl in death.
Mr. Seivers was a sheet metal worker for the B. & B. Heating and Air Conditioning Company in Covington, Kentucky. Prior to that he worked as a trucker hauling coal and previously worked in the coal mines of Eastern Kentucky. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Funeral services will be 6:00 PM, Friday, June 11, 2010 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 132 S. Main St., Crittenden, KY 41030. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3:00 - 6:00 PM on Friday. Burial will take place at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, North in Williamstown, KY.
