Ruby Elizabeth Wood

September 14, 1917 - May 24, 2010

Ruby Elizabeth Wood was born September 14, 1917 in Independence, Kentucky and passed away on May 24, 2010 at the Florence Park Care Center, Florence, Kentucky atthe age of 92 years. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Sevella Turner Parker.

She was a long time member of the Walton Christian Church where she was formerly a Sunday School teacher. She was also a member of the Walton Senior Citizens and a member of the Boone County Women's Democratic Club.

On October 15, 1938, Ruby was united in marriage toJoe Leonard Wood who passed away in 1997 following more then 58 years of marriage. She is survived by a son; Albert Wood of Verona, Ky and two foster daughters; Betty Tucker of Walton, KY and Connie Baxter of Crittenden, KY.

Services will be Friday, May 28, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, 14635 Walton-Verona Road, Verona, KY 41092. Visitation will also be Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home in Verona. The burial will be in the new Bethel Cemetery, Verona, Kentucky.
