Erie Gamble

September 27, 1925 - August 29, 2009

Erie Mae Chapman Gamble was born in Covington, Kentucky on September 27, 1925 and passed away at the Grant Manor Health Care Center in Williamstown, Kentucky on August 29, 2009 at the age of 84. She was the daughter of the late Elmer and Lilly Brewster Chapman.

Mrs. Gamble was preceded in death by two husbands: Terry Virgil Mulford who died in 1959 and Sam Gamble who died in 2004 after 41 years of marriage. She is survived by one son, Dewey Mulford of Morningview, KY; one brother, Vernon Chapman of Owensboro, KY; one sister, Jeanette Cleek of Florida; one grandson, Brent Mulford of Anderson Township, OH; two great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Gamble was a member of the First Baptist Church of Walton, KY. She was formerly a seamstress for Sizemore Manufacturing Company of Walton, KY.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at the Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home, 14635 Walton - Verona Rd., Verona, KY 41092. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 2, 2009. Burial will be in the New Bethel Cemetery, Verona, KY. Memorials are suggested to the Grant Manor Health Care Center, 201 Kimberly Drive, Williamstown, KY 41097 or to the Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Dr., Lexington, KY 40504-3277.
