Marie Bonar Meeks

Marie Bonar Meeks of Dry Ridge, was born November 21, 1923 and passed away Monday, August 31, 2009, at the Grant Manor Health Care Center, in Williamstown, Kentucky.

Marie was the daughter of the Late Ernest and Fannie Florence York Bonar, she was a bookkeeper for the Baldwin Piano and Organ Company and the Motch Jewelers in Covington, Kentucky,andwas a Member of the Crittenden Christian Church. Marie was united in marriage to the lateGiltner Allen Meeks on July 7, 1940.

Marie is survived by 1 son, Giltner E. Meeks of Florence, Kentucky; 2 daughters, Mavis Simpson of Crittenden, Kentucky, and Patricia Conrad of Dry Ridge, Kentucky; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 1 brother, Lou Bonar of Edgewood, Kentucky.

In addition to her parents and husband of 58 years, Marie was also preceded in death by 1 daughter, Barbara Sue Meeks; 1 brother, Charles Bonar; 1 sister, Lucy Bonar; and 2 Grandsons, Aaron Conrad, and James Stephens.

Services are at 11:00am Thursday, September 3, 2009,at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Crittenden, Kentucky, with burial at Crittenden Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm Wednesday,September 2, 2009 at the funeral home.
