Peggy Joe Gambrel Zimmerman of Adrian, Michigan, was born July 4, 1940 in Flatlick, Kentucky. She passed away Monday, July 20, 2009 in Adrian, Michigan, at the age of 69.

Peggy was the daughter of the late John Henry and Elizabeth Ann Gray Gambrel. She was a homemaker and a member of the Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church in Barbourville, Kentucky.

Peggy is survived by her husband Stewart Zimmerman; 1 son, Jerry Conley of Ashland, Ohio; 5 daughters, Linda Swander of Battle Creek, Michigan, Brenda Walters of St. Charles, Missouri, Margaret Creech and Peggy Moss both of Dry Ridge, Kentucky and Rosie Hale of Crittenden, Kentucky; 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; 3 brother, John Henry Gambrel Jr. of Pineville, Kentucky, Glendan Gambrel of Flatlick, Kentucky, and Samual Gambrel of Warsaw, Kentucky; and 2 sisters, Evelyn Bishop of Welch, West Virginia, and Mary Williams ofCorbin, Kentucky.

In addition to her parents, Peggy wasalso preceded in death by 3 sisters Luvilla Gambrel, Mabel Gray, and Marlene Buchanna, and1 great grandsonNathaniel Kenneth Catterton.

Funeralservices for Peggy will be at 1:00pm Friday, July 24, 2009 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Crittenden, Kentucky. Burial will be in the HillCrest Cemetery, Dry Ridge, Kentucky. Visitation for Peggy will be11:00am to 1:00pm Friday at the Funeral Home.
