Geneva Hutchison

March 23, 1928 - July 16, 2009

Geneva McMurtry Hutchisonwas born in Lexington, Kentucky on March 23, 1928 and passed away atSt. Elizabeth Grant County in Williamstown, KY on July 16, 2009 at the age of 81. She was the daughter of the late Virgil Anderson and Lena White McMurtry.

On December 23, 1946, Geneva was united in marriage with Clarence Poynzes Hutchison who preceded her in death on December 31, 2001. From this union a son, William E. Hutchison of Williamstown, KY and a daughter, Brenda L. Homjak of Hudson, OH were born. In addition to her loving children, Geneva is survived by one brother, William Goodloe McMurtry of Dry Ridge, KY and many other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Hutchison was a member of the Dry Ridge Christian Church, former member of the Town & Country Homemakers,the Ladies Auxiliary of the Grant County Hospital, the Grant County Farm Bureau, Women's Committee of which she was the Chairperson. She was well known as the owner and operator of Mam-maw's Kitchen in Williamstown. She also was a farmer and homemaker.

Funeral services will be at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097 on Sunday, July 19, 2009 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday, July 18, 2009 from 4 - 8:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge, Kentucky.
