David L Briggs

September 2, 1941 - July 15, 2009

David Lynn Briggs was born in Holyoke, Colorado on September 2, 1941 and passed away at his residence in Williamstown, Kentucky on July 15, 2009 at the age of 67. He was the son of the late Lawrence and Gertrude Statz Briggs.

Mr. Briggs is survived by his wife, Stella Lorraine Palmer Briggs; two daughters, April Colbert Cheesman of Erlanger, KY and September Colbert Cardiff of Savannah, GA; two sons, Kerry Colbert of Corinth, KY and Lance Colbert of Oreana, IL; two sisters, Clarice Korte and Marion Ferguson of Holyoke, CO; four brothers, Larry Briggs of Denver, CO, Elroy Briggs of Bolder, CO, Leslie Briggs and Dale Briggs of California; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

David was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Crittenden, KY. He was a self employed Bowling Lanes Installer, had worked in home construction, in the parts department of PST in Walton, KY and as a respite and home provider with NorthKey.

Funeral services will be Noon, Monday, July 20, 2009 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097 with visitation at the funeral home from 11 AM until Noon on Monday. Military graveside services will follow at the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Taylor Mill, Kentucky.
