Ivan Cook Odor

July 12, 1928 - June 19, 2009

Ivan Cook Odor was born July 12, 1928 to the late Raymond & Maybelle Limerick Odor in Williamstown, Kentucky and passed away June 19, 2009 in Kenwood, Ohio at the age of 80 years.

Ivan wasmarriedto Doris Elaine Schreiber for 58 years. In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons: Kent Odor of Mason, Ohio and Kevin Odor of Las Vegas, Nevada; one sister: Reva Dell Mefford of Nicholasville, Kentucky; seven grandchildren: Micah (Judith), Megan, Jared, Jordan,Kristen, Marcus & Kelly; and four great grandchildren: Jenna, Liam, Colin, and Logan.

Ivan was a 1951 graduate of Cincinnati Bible Seminary and at the time of his passing was a member of Christ Chapel in Mason, Ohio. He served in the pulpit for 50 years until his retirement in 1997. He assisted with the establishment of Northward Christian Assembly in Falmouth, Kentucky and is known for being a pioneer of the Faith Promise Program for Mission Support among the Churches of Christ & Christian Churches where he served as consultant for 35 years.

Funeral Services for Mr. Odor will be Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY. Visitation will be Monday, June 22, 2009 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown. Entombment will follow in the Williamstown Cemetery Mausoleum.
